After you look
over the easy-to-make chess pieces, you may find that you have many of the
nuts or bolts you will need in your workshop right now. If not, your hardware
store or home center will have the rest. In fact, you may decide to make
some changes and design your own pieces. Different sizes will create different
pieces so your set can be large or small. Here are my plans.
After you have
decided on your design, use an adhesive made for metal to secure all of
the pieces together. Spray half the pieces black and leave the rest as-is.
Use a pre-made game board or start another project and make your own custom
board. Left-over vinyl flooring will make an inexpensive and fun board.
